Meaning (from PCM Book 1)

In the raga Bhairavi, may Goddess Sarasvati dance on my tongue and grant me the same poetic talent as that of sage Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana.

Pedagogical Note

Bhairavi has a vakra arohanam and uses different variants of D (D₂ in ascent, D₁ in descent). It is set in Chaturashra Dhruvam tala (14 beats) — the most complex tala in the Geetham curriculum.
