Train your ear to recognise ragas by their characteristic phrases
How it works
A characteristic phrase (prayoga) from a raga will be played. Listen carefully to the notes, gamakas, and mood — then identify the raga from the options. The more you listen, the better your ear becomes.

Listening Tips
• Focus on the first few notes — they often reveal the raga's identity
• Notice which notes are emphasised and which are avoided
• Listen for gamakas (ornaments) — they are as important as the notes themselves
• Feel the mood (bhava) — each raga has a distinct emotional character
