Dheergam on G and D
Similar to Sarali 5 but the dheergam falls on G3 (in the ascent) and D1 (in the descent). This highlights the characteristic notes of Mayamalavagowla. G3 is the major third — holding it creates a sense of brightness. D1 is the flat sixth — holding it creates a sense of gravity. Together, these two notes define the emotional character of the raga.
